OK, so my first destination in Dubai was Creek in the after hours i.e. around 20:30PM. Good time to go to a place like Creek. Lots of lighting and really nice ferry to take you to the other side for pretty cheap so nice hub for my adventure with my camera. Result : Disaster. I took a lot of Photos there, but all waste because the time was after hours and I did not have a external flash. I guess with external flash it would have been good. Another mistake I did was to shoot in JPEG mode and thus could not try with increasing exposure and all with the photos.

Anyways, here are some photos of the excursion and the lessons that I learnt and one good article on exposure compensation

What went wrong here:

Couple of things:: I was in Ferry so it was moving and it was quite dark outside with most of the light coming from the Artificial Sources and thus the aperture speed was quite slow, meaning the aperture would be open for more time and for that much time the camera should be completely still which cannot happen on Ferry. There was not external flash adding salt to the injury.. What a shame, realized this only after seeing the photos after coming back from there. Sigh, will try to go there once more.

Pretty much the same mistake in the below once, except the fact that this was taken with me on the shore and boat moving 🙂 Making same mistake in another form, I must be a Genius on this 🙂

Next one does not look so bad. May be its not good but not too bad.

Why this was not so bad, because I took the picture of the same boat on which I was sitting so not so much of movement…

The next ones were taken when we were stationary on the banks and thus do look good.
