importing outlook pst files in evolution in Fedora 13 ( Goddard)

2010-07-25 1 min read Fedora Linux

If you were using outlook and moved to some other <a class="zem_slink freebase/en/e-mail_client" title="Email client" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_client">mail client then you know the pain of moving the mails from outlook mail from outlook to any other client.

If you are using evolution on <a class="zem_slink freebase/en/fedora" title="Fedora" rel="homepage" href="http://fedoraproject.org/">Fedora, then you are in luck. Just install the plug-in and select the file to import as simple as that.

sudo yum install evolution-pst

New Improvements in the site and added few more features.

2010-07-11 2 min read Uncategorized

Last couple of days I have spent quite some time on the <a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f8000000000041684" title="Website" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website">website design and format and performance along with moving my Hosting Provider.

Here are couple of things that you would notice immediately:

  1. Site loading time is decreased substantially. I saw it loading in 5 seconds from my system.

  2. I have moved my hosting from ZNetIndia to <a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f80000000003f4284" title="Go Daddy" rel="geolocation" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=33.617409,-111.90477&spn=0.01,0.01&q=33.617409,-111.90477%20%28Go%20Daddy%29&t=h">GoDaddy. Though the users do not have any direct impact in experience but that has definitely improved the performance. I have spent quite some amount of money on this and would request the viewers to click on the <a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f800000000042acea" title="Google" rel="homepage" href="http://google.com">Google Advertisements to help me cover it. You help is much appreciated. Other way you can help is by way of buying my photos from my <a title="My E Sop" href="http://shop.amit-agarwal.co.in" target="_blank">e-shop.

find duplicate entry in a list in bash with sed

2010-06-25 1 min read Bash Fedora Learning

Here I will take an example of rss2email list, but I guess I will be able to pass on the concept.

Here is example of the output of the r2e list command:

1: http://blog.amit-agarwal.co.in/feed (default: amitag@localhost)
2: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/AllAboutLinux (default: amitag@localhost)
3: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Command-line-fu (default: amitag@localhost)
4: http://blogs.members.freewebs.com/Members/Blogs/viewBlogRSS.jsp?userid=29731143 (default: amitag@localhost)

Target here is to get the list of all duplicate entries if any. So, first we need to remove the numbers from the begining and the email ID from the end.

Googlegooglegooglegoogle: Opens Four <a class="zem_slink" title="Google" rel="homepage" href="http://google.com">Google Frames At Once Googlegooglegooglegoogle (that is Google times 4!) is a simple <a class="zem_slink" title="Website" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website">website/<a class="zem_slink" title="Homepage" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homepage">startpage that puts four Google search windows in one page. It basically displays four frames so that you do not have to leave the page to search simultaneously. This tool is incredibly useful for Google power searchers.
